IACS Common Structural Rules



IACS Common Structural Rules for Bulk Carriers and Oil Tankers were adopted on 18 December 2013 and entered into force on 1 July 2015. These Rules apply to single side skin and double side skin bulk carriers having a length of 90 m or above and to double hull oil tankers having a length of 150 m or above.

Common Structural Rules, 1 January 2017 edition, entered into force on 1 July 2017.

IACS Common Structural Rules are included in the RS Rules for the Classification and Construction of Sea-Going Ships (Part XVIII).
