Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) took part in the Tianjin International Shipping Industry Expo 2023. The event was held at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Tianjin, China) from November 16 to 18, 2023.

In total, over 400 companies from 22 countries and regions of China, including 23 major global corporations, presented their products and services at the exhibition. The event attracted more than 100,000 industry specialists. At its booth, the RS delegation demonstrated the entire spectrum of the organization’s regional activities.

RS has been operating in the People's Republic of China (PRC) since 2003. The company’s offices in Tianjin and Shanghai provide a full range of classification and convention services during ship construction and operation, the certification of maritime products and materials, container surveys, as well as services in the field of maritime warranty survey.

Last year, more than 587,050 products and over 29,260 tons of shipbuilding materials were manufactured at PRC enterprises under RS survey with 397 sets of technical documentation having received review and approval. In terms of materials and products, RS is now cooperating with 413 manufacturers in China; 578 RS type approval certificates are already in force. At the same time, RS helps to establish business contacts between companies in the PRC and Russian organizations interested in the products of Chinese manufacturers, as well as to develop mutually beneficial cooperation and enter the Chinese market.
